The Britten War Requiem

Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem is an enormous, poignant, moving choral masterwork.

The vivid and heartwrenching poetry of World War I poet Wilfred Owen (right) is chillingly juxtaposed with the traditional Latin Requiem Mass in a work that is all too relevant today.
