Spend a lively, happy, entertaining morning enjoying a concert and activities designed to engage the young at heart. With some of Broadway’s greatest hits from Oliver!, Hairspray, The Lion King, and much more, you can “Consider Yourself One of the Family,” because “You Can’t Stop the Beat” in this “Circle of Life.”
The 100-voice Eugene Concert Choir, joined by popular singers Shirley Andress, Bill Hulings, and Evynne & Peter Hollens, and a rocking combo led by Vicki Brabham, fill the stage with joy in this full-on one-hour excerpt of their evening production, The Best of Broadway, Too!
Eugene Concert Choir Outreach (ECCO) Educational Program
It is important to bring music into the lives of children. Our ECCO program brought music into 54 classrooms, reaching 1,425 elementary school children last season. As in 2011-2012, we plan to combine our ECCO in-school educational program with a culminating children’s performance at our “For Kids” concert. These participating children will be called up onto the stage during the concert to perform their prepared song, “High Hopes,” with the Concert Choir and instrumental musicians. This project extends the ECCO classroom instruction to the thrill of actual onstage performance in the Hult Center’s Silva Concert Hall.
