Lyrical Romanticism
Saturday, March 2, 2013
8:00 p.m. • Silva Concert Hall, Hult Center
Gorgeous, lush and melodic music of the Austro-German Romantic Era
The program features Austrian composer Anton Bruckner’s rich and lyrical E Minor Mass. This most beautiful and powerful work highlights the 100-voice Eugene Concert Choir and chamber wind players of the Oregon Mozart Players. The Eugene Vocal Arts Ensemble completes the program with enchanting selections of other great Romantic composers — Brahms, Schubert, Mendelssohn and Hugo Wolf.
The Eugene Concert Choir will also perform The Bruckner E Minor Mass in Carnegie Hall on March 31, 2013 as part of the MidAmerica Productions Carnegie Hall Concert Series.
