Our 2016 world premiere performance and recording by Eugene Vocal Arts and Orchestra won the American Prize, and the video documentary The Story of Shadow and Light won Best Documentary at the 2017 Oregon Independent Film Festival.

Filmed over 18 months, this documentary by AO Films follows Diane Retallack, artistic director of the Eugene Concert Choir, and composer Joan Szymko as they collaborate on the extraordinary project of telling the story of the Alzheimer’s journey through music.
