Celebrate love with this heartwarming concert featuring love songs in a variety of styles—classical, folk, popular tunes—all in one dazzling afternoon of music and dance.
The choirs will serenade you with gorgeous classical choral works by great American composers Samuel Barber, Randall Stroope, Emma Lou Diemer, and Morten Lauridsen, and fun, upbeat popular classics such as “Taking a Chance on Love,” “I Only Have Eyes for You,” and “Love Will Keep Us Together.” The repertoire also includes luscious choral works by Puerto Rican composers and arrangers, featuring a new commission by Guarionex Morales Matos.
Adding to the sizzle, a rockin’ combo led by jazz pianist Nick Rieser will heat things up, and pro dancers sponsored by the Vault Dance Studio will bring romance to the stage with a sultry rumba and lively swing dance.
